Elizabeth Holmstrom

Elizabeth Holmstrom Speaking at Maine Business Conference - Fast Forward Maine

Elizabeth is a natural entrepreneur, connector and systems change architect. Shes an explorer and loves to find solutions that improve human experience. From a very young age she had to branch out on her own because of family circumstances. That path has created who she is today and is what fuels her passion for life.

Elizabeth observed that we are on the cusp of a paradigm shift in how we do business several years ago. For a long time, colleagues would question these insights or say that “the world isn’t ready”. In her experience, that is not true. The world is ready. Our children and grandchildren are ready; we are ready to align our work with our hearts and with nature. The words love, soul, and spirit absolutely belong in the workplace. Why would any human being want to work for a business or company that is not invested in humanity?

In addition to Mindful Employer, Elizabeth is the license holder for DisruptHR Portland, ME, which produces an annual event bringing forth voices at all levels to improve the way we work together. She is also a singer/songwriter and a charity auctioneer.  She has helped raised over $1M for her favorite charities in the past 20 years.

Outside of work, Elizabeth finds balance through community, meditating in the woods, mountain biking, and quarry swimming along the coast of Maine.

Topic: Managing Your Talent in a Chaotic Business Climate

Description: Given the highly volatile business climate, today’s workforce is understandably anxious about what the future might hold. And businesses are dealing with the impacts on morale and productivity of diminishing teams that are working remotely.

When chaos looms, having the right talent in the right roles — and keeping that talent inspired, connected and engaged — is more crucial than ever.

In this presentation, Angela Hansen and Holly Lancaster of KMA Human Resources will address the opportunities employers have in this moment to right-size their workforce, nurture the talent they have, and build a foundation for success — even in an unpredictable future.
